Sir Marvin opened Dragonz Martial Atrz INC in 2001. Since opening Dragonz has been a visible active member in the East Danforth community. Head Instructor and Owner Marvin Prashad is a 5th Degree black belt with a unique approach to martial arts instruction. The discipline and work ethic are there, but there is also a desire to bond with and understand the individual needs of every one of his students. On paper he is a martial arts instructor but in reality he is a mentor and friend to scores of people throughout the area. Marvin runs Dragonz with his wife Claire, a registered nurse and fitness enthusiast. Together they have created a supportive community with a unique philosophy, one of inclusion. Sir Marvin's strength as a teacher is his ability to draw out the best in all of his students. Children who have struggled at other martial arts schools have thrived at Dragonz, benefiting from Sir Marvin's tireless dedication and devotion to excellence.
Dragonz aim is to provide a secure and nurturing environment where students of any age ( from 3 to 93!) find the encouragement and support they need to excel in martial arts and personal growth.

Dragonz Martial Artz Centre is more than a school – it’s a community filled with caring people who are dedicated to fostering personal growth and physical excellence. Our staff are experienced teachers and role models who are comfortable with all ages, cultures, abilities and special requirements.
The families of our students play a significant role in the social fabric of the centre. We believe that family support is critical for maximum development. Many events are open to family members, friends and guests. The centre hosts pot-luck picnics, holiday parties and dinners. And, arrangements can be made for birthday parties.
We offer March Break and summer camp, with programs that include martial arts, visits to parks and beaches, special events and lots of fun. Many of our young campers have gone on to become dedicated students.
